The ROH Pure Championship tournament has finally started!
This past week, the popular independent promotion returned with fresh material that featured the first two matches of the 16-man ROH Pure Championship tournament. Some of the men fighting for the opportunity to become the new Pure Champion are former ROH World Champion Dalton Castle, former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal, Kenny King, David Finlay, and Rocky Romero.
In the first two tournament matches, one of those former champions was knocked out of the competition as Jay Lethal and Dalton Castle faced each other in the first round. Also, Jonathan Gresham, who’s the ROH World Tag Team Champion with Jay Lethal, faced newcomer Wheeler Yuta.
