Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is currently doing the rounds to promote his new movie Jungle Cruise ahead of its release in theaters and on Disney+ this Friday (you can see our reaction below).

Interviewed alongside his co-star Emily Blunt, Johnson was asked about recent rumours he's set to return to WWE. Disappointingly, all he said was that "there's nothing" he could tease about that, and it was then Blunt jumped in to joke that they're going to form a tag team together.

It was recently reported that The Rock is being lined up to appear at Survivor Series in order to promote the 25th anniversary of his in-ring debut for WWE. The hope is that will lead to him facing Roman Reigns somewhere down the line, though it remains difficult to say whether that could happen.

Johnson is, after all, one of the busiest actors working in Hollywood today, and it seems highly unlikely he's going to put any major upcoming projects at risk for the sake of one more match.

Then again, he's never had a retirement bout, and a WWE Hall of Fame induction seems inevitable...
