AEW DYNAMITE Kicked Off With An Epic CM Punk/MJF Promo Referencing UFC, Triple H, The Miz, And More

If you missed last night episode of AEW Dynamite, then you lost out on a truly epic promo that saw CM Punk and MJF exchange a lot of hard-hitting words. You can watch the full thing after the jump...

After their first meeting during last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk and MJF once again came face to face for what proved to be a promo of the year candidate.

You really need to watch the nearly 20-minute segment for yourselves, but along the way, Punk compared MJF to a less famous Miz and dismissed him as a fan with a poster of the Best in the World on his wall. MJF hit back by referencing his foe's failed UFC career and called him a "PG Punk" who is one step away from preaching about "Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect."

The WWE references kept coming, though, with MJF pointing out that Punk was always second best to John Cena and the King of Kings (a.k.a. Triple H) during his time with the company.

Punk had plenty of his own comebacks, of course, and referenced the 5-year-old MJF's appearance on The Rosie O'Donnell Show and the fact he beat Darby Allin without cheating. He also said that the only way MJF will ever be #1 in AEW is if he waits long enough to marry Tony Khan's future daughter (another shot at The Game who is, of course, married to Stephanie McMahon).

Things wrapped up with Punk offering to fight MJF, but he left the ring. Clearly, the stage is being set for this match to take place on a much grander stage and we cannot wait...

I'm really hoping MJF is going to be the first person to hand Punk a loss in AEW.

MJF is the next champion.
