During Wednesday night's episode of AEW Dynamite, Bryan Danielson battled AEW World Heavyweight Champion "Hangman" Adam Page in a match that went 60 minutes and ended in a draw.

Some fans were unhappy with the finish, but the announcers strongly hinted that a rematch would follow. Now, AEW President Tony Khan has commented on what comes next and it definitely sounds like the rivalry won't end there. "I’ll be honest: I’m excited for what’s coming next between Hangman Page and Bryan Danielson," he told Busted Open Radio. "It’s far from over."

"And I’ll tell you this: Bryan Danielson is still the no. 1 contender," Khan continued. "It’s a rematch I’m very much excited to see."

There are a few possibilities for where this rematch could take place. The first episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS on January 5 is a compelling possibility, as is Battle of the Belts on January 8. The Revolution PPV doesn't take place until March 6, and stretching this feud out that long could be a struggle.

When these two square off again, we're definitely expecting a definitive finish. It feels too soon to take the title off Page, but Danielson is clearly being pushed as a serious heel threat.
