Bandido had a lot on the line heading into AEW Dynasty 2025 as he not only wanted to win the ROH World Championship from Chris Jericho, but avenge his brother Gravity and avoid being humiliated as this was a Title-for-Mask match.

For those unaware, Jericho and Bandido have been feuding for the past few months in various capacities, and the storyline became even more heated at All Elite Wrestling's last pay-per-view, AEW Revolution, wherein Jericho was set to defend the ROH World Championship against Gravity and ended up ripping Gravity's mask off him.

Being unmasked is a major showing of disrespect in luchador culture, and Jericho rubbed it in deeper by forcing Bandido to put his mask on the line in order to get this title opportunity.

Their match saw Bandido doing many interesting maneuvers (to no surprise), including holding up Jericho with a stalling vertical suplex for a full minute as seen here:

"The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith tried to run interference and help Jericho distract the referee, allowing The Nueve to introduce a foreign object and hit Bandido with his baseball bat, Floyd. Jericho stowed it away behind the steel steps and managed to get a pinfall to retain his title, which would have meant Bandido would be unmasked—however, Bandido's sister and mother were ringside, just as they were at Revolution.

They were able to get the attention of another referee, Aubrey Edwards, and point out the baseball bat. As a result, the match was declared to be restarted and the previous pinfall thrown out.

Chris Jericho tried to take his frustrations out on Bandido's sister, who slapped him in return, and the situation was capitalized on by Bandido, who soon after scored a pin and managed to win the ROH World Championship for the second time!

Bandido's previous reign as ROH world champion lasted 152 days before he was forced to relinquish the title after testing positive for COVID-19.

What do you think of Bandido's win over Jericho? Who do you think will be the next in line for the ROH title? Drop your predictions and other thoughts in the comments below!
