Previous reports have indicated that CM Punk and All Elite Wrestling had buried the hatched and agreed to a new deal, and all signs pointed to the former champion making his return to the company sooner rather than later.

Tonight, during AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan officially announced that Punk will be part of the new Collision show on Saturday, June 17 in Chicago.

The announcement reportedly received a mixed response from the crowd, as Punk's actions during the infamous "Brawl Out" media scrum have clearly made him a more divisive figure among fans.

We're still not sure how Punk will be presented upon his return, but if Khan has any sense at all, he will make him a heel.
