A Battle Royal took place on this week's episode of AEW Dynamite to determine the first challenger for Cody's newly won TNT Championship, and Jungle Boy Jack Perry outlasted the likes of MJF, Wardlow and Orange Cassidy to earn a future title shot.

To be fair, the match wasn't exactly jam-packed with potential winners, and Perry was always a pretty safe bet to come out on top.

Before the match, we saw tension between MJF and Wardlow, as the former expected his muscle to eliminate himself if it came down to both of them. A rift was further teased when Freedman inadvertently struck Wardlow with his ring, leading to both of their eliminations. In the end, it came down to Jungle Boy and Orange Cassidy, and we got a little preview of what could be one of the most over feuds in wrestling today.

The King of Sloth Style put up a good fight, but Perry was ultimately able to dump him over the top rope with a hurricanrana.

Jungle Boy will now face Cody for the TNT Championship on the Wednesday, June 3rd episode of Dynamite. Will he win? Probably not, but it should be a great match all the same.
