Prior to Cody Rhodes' decision to leave AEW, it looked like Paige VanZant was being lined up to feud with his wife, Brandi. During last Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite, she officially signed a contract with the company and the stage is now seemingly being set for her to face Tay Conti instead,

Talking to ESPN (via WrestlingNews.co), VanZant opened up on signing with the company and confirmed that she's been looking to enter the pro wrestling world for some time. Unfortunately, contractual obligations have slowed the process down, but we can expect to see her in two sports moving forward.

"I’m still a professional Bare Knuckle boxer with the BKFC," she confirmed. "They couldn’t have been more supportive, so they’re actually supporting this transition is well. I’ll still be doing Bare Knuckle boxing with the BKFC and doing AEW. They allowed me to have an open-ended contract where I could go compete and be a part of AEW pro wrestling. I think it’s going to be a really cool crossover between the two worlds because they are very similar. They are in the combat sports world."

VanZant, known for turning heads on social media and leaving jaws on the floor wherever she goes, also recently shared some new must-see snaps on her Instagram account.
