Penta El Zero Miedo Is officially done with All Elite Wrestling.

It was reported late in the summer by various outlets that both Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix weren’t looking to re-sign with AEW. In fact, multiple sites claimed that WWE was highly interested in the former AEW World Tag Team Champions. The Lucha Brothers tried to shut down the rumors, but it was to no avail since Tony Khan reportedly tacked on injury time to Fenix’s contract.

Now, Rey Fenix won’t be able to leave until 2025. However, his brother is officially done with AEW. There were several reports last week that claimed Penta’s contract was ending this week.

That was officially confirmed when Penta El Zero Miedo was removed from the AEW roster page.

Given the drama surrounding their contracts in the summer, it’s no surprise that Penta has left AEW. The Lucha Brothers were one of the most featured acts on television. The duo made their names famous in Lucha Underground, with both of them holding the Lucha Underground Championship once.

Rey and Penta have been onboard with AEW since day one, and the duo has had classic matches against The Young Bucks and FTR. Both Penta and Rey have won the ROH and AEW World Tag Team titles. They have also won the AEW Six-Man Tag Team titles.

There’s no reports on where Penta plans to go next. The most obvious answer is WWE, but it sounded like the duo wanted to go to WWE as a tag team. Nevertheless, WWE is likely the final destination, it’s just a manner of when. Penta has proven in the past that he can be a great singles star if given the opportunity. He’s also a former Impact World Champion, and has had plenty of great matches without his brother by his side.

Penta has yet to comment on his exit from AEW, but Rey Fenix sent out a video in regards to his status with the company:
