Will The Hurt Syndicate win championship gold in Knoxville, Tennessee?

As a team, Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin have been nearly unstoppable. When you combine the talents of a former WWE and Intercontinental Champion, then it’s no surprise that the team of Lashley and Shelton have risen through the tag team ranks so quickly. Lashley and Shelton have strength and experience on their side.

However, the AEW World Tag Team Champions shouldn't be counted out just yet. Private Party may not have the experience that Lashley and Benjamin have, but they’ve been a tag team well before they even signed to AEW. These young prospects showcased back in October that know how to get the job when it comes down to it and have successfully defended their belts on two separate occasions. The Hurt Syndicate is their biggest and toughest challengers to date; Can Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy pull off a major victory.

Tonight marks the return of Samoa Joe. The former AEW World Champion came back with a vengeance last week when he saved Hook and Katsurori Shibata from a beat down. Joe evens the odds of Hook’s quest for revenge against Christian Cage; Can the “Samoan Submission Machine” assert his dominance on Nick Wayne tonight?

In one of the two face-to-face meetings, former rivals have acted like allies over the past couple of weeks. Will Ospreay has come out to save Kenny Omega on numerous occasions. But is there an ulterior motive behind Ospreay’s actions? And how does the former AEW World Champion truly feel about teaming with one of his most heated rivals in the past ten years?

In another face-to-face, “Rockstar” Toni Storm will finally get to meet the best wrestler in the world, Mariah May. The problem is, Storm has forgotten that the AEW Women’s World Champion betrayed her last year and took her title in the process. How will Mariah May approach her meeting against “Rockstar” Toni Storm? Or does Storm have something under her sleeve for her meeting with the women’s world champion?

Check out the advertised line-up for tonight’s AEW Dynamite:

  • “Private Party” Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy vs. Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin for the AEW Tag Team Titles
  • Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega meet face-to-face
  • Julia Hart vs. Jamie Hayter
  • Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne
  • Cope vs. Pac
  • Swerve Strickland vs. AR Fox
