Bobby Lashley is bringing his brand of violence to Clarksville, Tennessee.

The Hurt Syndicate has been on a tear since making their debut in the Fall. Bobby Lashley has especially been a dominant force in AEW, as the former WWE Champion has yet to lose a match within the promotion. Lashley came in strong at Full Gear by getting a win over former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.

He hopes to get a dominant win this Wednesday over another former world champion: Mark Briscoe.

The former ROH World Champion has been on an upswing in late 2024. His performance in the Continental Classic saw Briscoe beat TNT Champion Daniel Garcia and Kyle Fletcher. While he failed to win the TNT Championship when got the opportunity on Collision, Briscoe showcased why he was one of Ring of Honor’s top names for some many years.

This will be a first-time match between the two men. Briscoe and Lashley came face-to-face during the Christmas episode of Dynamite. The Hurt Syndicate story has been low key in the past couple of months, but Lashley is definitely aiming to become the next AEW World Champion. He’s not shouting from the rooftops about getting an opportunity, but he wants to make sure that his presence is undeniable.

“I’m not asking for anything more than an opportunity, and that’s what Tony Khan gave me,” Bobby Lashley said to Justin Burrasso of Undisputed. I’m definitely not asking to be world champ. Of course, that’s where I want to be, but that’s not how I approach it. I don’t go around telling people I am going to be champ. I make it so I am undeniable.”

We'll see if Lashley can get one step closer to reaching the top on Wednesday. This upcoming Dynamite is packed with a huge number one contender’s match that leads to the Maximum Carnage special the following week and the return of Kenny Omega, who is fresh off his incredible win over Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty.

Check out the updated line-up for AEW Dynamite:
