Since WWE made the baffling decision to release Bray Wyatt, there's been a lot of speculation about what comes next for Windham Rotunda. We'd heard rumblings that he could debut for AEW on the September 29 edition of Dynamite in Rochester, New York, as that is the hometown of the late, great Brodie Lee.

Needless to say, it didn't happen, though it always seemed like a stretch considering the fact Wyatt's 90-day non-compete hasn't quite reached its end.

During a recent interview on WFAN's Moose & Maggie Show, AEW President Tony Khan was asked about the rumours surrounding the former Fiend, and dropped a surprising bombshell.

"He’s a great wrestler, and I've got to be honest, we haven’t really talked at all. I’ve known him in my personal life and I’ve gotten to spend a little bit of time with him, but as far as that, we haven’t talked," Khan confirmed. "I saw a bunch of rumors, but that’s not something anybody’s really talked about. You never know."

It was recently reported that Wyatt could be headed to IMPACT Wrestling, though it's still surprising he hasn't engaged in any sort of discussions with AEW. You'd think there would be an interest from both sides, but we know Khan is being careful not to load up his roster with too many former WWE Superstars.

Needless to say, we'll keep you guys updated as we learn more about Wyatt's in-ring future.
