A new bantamweight fight has been added to UFC Fight Night San Diego as Aljamain Sterling will take on Cory Sandhagen.
Sterling is coming off an impressive win over Pedro Munhoz at UFC 238 in Chicago, Illinois. The bantamweight is currently in the midst of a solid four-fight winning streak, besting Jimmie Rivera, Cody Stamann, and Brett Johns. Sterling’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 3 losses.
Sandhagen enters the contest with some strong momentum on his side as the bantamweight is in the midst of a seven-fight winning streak. The “Sandman” is coming off a victory over Raphael Assunção at UFC 241. Thus far, the 27-year-old has yet to lose a bout within the UFC. Sandhagen’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins and 1 loss.
UFC Fight Night San Diego takes place on Saturday, May 16 from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California with Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker headlining.
