A bantamweight bout has been added to the upcoming fight night event as Said Nurmagomedov will take on Mark Striegl.
Nurmagomedov is coming off a loss against Raoni Barcelos that has set him back in the division rankings. Since joining the UFC in 2018, the bantamweight has had more wins than losses as he’s beaten both Justin Scoggins (via split decision at UFC Fight Night 133) and Ricardo Ramos (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 144). Nurmagomedov’s professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 2 losses.
Mark Striegl is entering with a bit more experience on his side as the bantamweight has been fighting professionally for the past 10 years. Striegl has racked up wins during his time in Universal Reality Combat Championship, ONE Championship, Pacific Xtreme Combat, and Legend Fighting Championship. Striegl’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 2 losses.
UFC Fight Island 6 is set for Saturday, October 17 with Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung headlining. The placement of the bantamweight bout is currently unknown.
