A new featherweight bout has been added to the upcoming UFC show on October 31 as Andre Fili will take on Bryce Mitchell at the event. MMA Junkie confirmed the match-up, though the fight has yet to be announced publicly.
Fili is coming off a win over Charles Jourdain at UFC on ESPN 10. While the featherweight has suffered some setbacks against Sodiq Yusuff and Michael Johnson, the 30-year-old does own three victories in his last five fights, also beating Dennis Bermudez (via split decision at UFC on Fox 27) and Myles Jury (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 1). Fili’s professional record currently stands at 21 wins and 7 losses.
Bryce Mitchell enters the contest on a strong 13-fight winning streak, with the featherweight dropping Tyler Diamond (via majority decision at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale), Bobby Moffett (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 148), Matt Sayles (via submission at UFC on ESPN 7), and Charles Rosa (via unanimous decision at UFC 249) in his UFC tenure thus far. Mitchell’s professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 0 losses.
