A new featherweight bout is confirmed for UFC 250 next month as Brian Kelleher will face Cody Stamann.
Kelleher is currently in the midst of a two-fight winning streak as the featherweight has beaten Hunter Azure (via KO at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira) and Ode Osbourne (via submission at UFC 246). Normally a bantamweight, the New York native has failed to crack the top 15 rankings due to his losses against Marlon Vera (via submission at UFC on Fox 25), John Lineker (via KO at UFC 224), and Montel Jackson (via submission at UFC 232). Kelleher’s professional record currently stands at 21 wins and 10 losses.
Stamann is coming off a draw against Song Yadong at UFC on ESPN 7; however, the featherweight managed to beat Alejandro Perez at UFC 235. Stamann has more wins than losses in his last five fights, with the 30-year-old also getting victories over Bryan Caraway (via split decision at UFC 222) and Tom Duquesnoy (via split decision at UFC 216). His professional record currently stands at 18 wins, 2 losses, and 1 no contest.
