A featherweight bout has been added to UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Harris as Darren Elkins will take on Nate Landwehr.
Elkins is in need of a win as the featherweight is currently in the midst of a three-fight losing streak, with the 35-year-old dropping bouts to Alexander Volkanovski (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 133), Ricardo Lamas (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 140), and most recently, Ryan Hall (via unanimous decision at UFC UFC Fight Night 155). Elkins last win was against Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night 124 back in 2018. His professional record currently stands at 24 wins and 8 losses.
Landwehr failed to pick up a victory over Herbert Burns in his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 166. Despite the featherweight being winless within the promotion thus far, Landwehr has won four out of his last five fights, besting Viktor Kolesnik (via split decision at M-1 Challenge 85), Khamzat Dalgiev (via TKO at M-1 Challenge 95), Andrey Lezhnev (via TKO at M-1 Challenge - Battle in Atyrau), and Viktor Kolesnik (via unanimous decision at M-1 Challenge 102). His professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 3 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Harris takes place on Saturday, May 16 from the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida with Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris headlining.
