A new featherweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen event as Edson Barboza will take on Sodiq Yusuff. Originally, Barboza was set to fight Jeremy Stephens at UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana; however, Stephens pulled out of the match-up. Combate was the first to report the bout change.
Barboza is hoping to get back into the win column as the featherweight has suffered losses to Dan Ige (via split decision at UFC on ESPN 8), Justin Gaethje (via knockout at UFC on ESPN 2) and Paul Felder (via split decision at UFC 242). His professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 9 losses.
Since joining the UFC in 2019, Yusuff has yet to lose inside of the octagon, with the featherweight recently beating Sheymon Moraes (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 2), Gabriel Benítez (via TKO at UFC 241), and Andre Fili (via unanimous decision at UFC 246). Yusuff hasn’t lost a fight in three years and his overall professional record currently stands at 11 wins and 1 loss.
