A new featherweight bout has been set for UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker as Jordan Griffin will take on Youssef Zalal.
Griffin first gained entry into the UFC thanks to Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series; however, Griffin failed to win his first two official fights against Dan Ige and Chas Skelly. The featherweight bounced back with a victory over T.J. Brown at UFC Fight Night 169. Griffin’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 7 losses.
Zalal successfully beat Austin Lingo in his debut at UFC 247. Prior to his transition over to the UFC, the featherweight fought in Legacy Fighting Alliance, Paramount MMA, Sparta Combat League, and Mile High MMAyhem and scored seven combined wins. Zalal’s professional record currently stands at 8 wins and 2 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with the two lightweights headlining. The updated lineup now includes:
