The flyweight bout between Matt Schnell and Tyson Nam has been rescheduled for the Dec. 19 event. Originally, the two fighters were set to battle on the Sept. 12 Vegas card; however, Schnell was forced to withdraw from the fight due to weight-cut issues.
Schnell enters the contest following his knockout loss to Alexandre Pantoja at UFC Fight Night 165. That devastating loss snapped a solid four-fight winning streak with notable wins over Louis Smolka (via submission at UFC Fight Night 146) and Jordan Espinosa (via submission at UFC on ESPN 5). Schnell’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 5 losses.
Nam is coming off a victory over Jerome Rivera at UFC Vegas 11. Overall, the flyweight has won two bouts in his UFC career thus far with his other victory being against Zarrukh Adashev at UFC on ESPN 10. Nam’s professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 11 losses.
