A new heavyweight bout is set for UFC Fight Night Houston, as Derrick Lewis will step into the octagon against (LHW) Ilir Latifi.

Lewis is looking to bounce off the momentum he gained at UFC 244, as the Louisiana native got a unanimous decision win over Blagoy Ivanov. The heavyweight suffered two setbacks when he lost to Daniel Cormier and Junior dos Santos; however, Lewis still holds a solid professional record of 22 wins and 7 losses.

Latifi enters the bout in need of a victory, as the heavyweight is currently on a two-fight losing streak. The Sweden native suffered losses against Corey Anderson and Volkan Oezdemir. Latifi’s time in the octagon for his last five fights has been a bit rocky, with his only wins coming over Ovince St. Preux and Tyson Pedro. The heavyweight’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no contest.

UFC Fight Night Houston takes place on Saturday, February 8 from a location to be announced in Houston, Texas.
