A new heavyweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker event as Philipe Lins will face Tanner Boser.
Lins is looking to rebound after his loss to former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski at UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira. Despite his debut loss to the veteran heavyweight, Lins has won four out of his last five fights, beating Alex Nicholson, Caio Alencar, Jared Rosholt, and Josh Copeland in the Professional Fighters League. Other than PFL, Lins has competed in Bellator MMA and Rockstrike MMA. His professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 4 losses.
Boser is looking to rebound from his loss to Ciryl Gane at UFC Fight Night 165. Also a UFC newcomer, the heavyweight found success in his debut against Daniel Spitz at UFC on ESPN 6 and was on a two-fight winning streak with the other victory being against Jared Kilkenny for Unified MMA. Boser has also competed in M-1 Global and Absolute Championship Akhmat, and his professional record currently stands at 17 wins, 6 losses, and 1 no contest.
UFC Fight Night: Poirier vs. Hooker takes place on Saturday, June 27 with a location set to be announced soon and Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker headlining.
