A new light heavyweight bout is confirmed for UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns as Jamahal Hill will take on Klidson Abreu.
Hill was successful in his UFC debut back at UFC Fight Night 166 as he defeated Darko Stosic via unanimous decision. Prior to his stint on Dana White’s Contender Series - in which he picked up a victory over Alexander Poppeck by second round TKO - the light heavyweight has competed in Lights Out Championship and Knockout Promotions. Hill’s professional record currently stands at 7 wins and no losses.
Since making his debut in early 2019, Abreu’s tenure with the UFC has been a mixed bag. The light heavyweight lost his first match-up against Magomed Ankalaev via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 145; however, Abreu bounced back with a victory over Sam Alvey at UFC on ESPN 4. The 27-year-old then went back into the loss column when he suffered a split decision loss to Shamil Gamzatov at UFC Fight Night 163. Abreu’s professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 4 losses.
UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns takes place on Saturday, May 23 from a location to be announced with Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns headlining.
