Clay Guida will step into the octagon on June 20 as the lightweight will take on Bobby Green.
Guida is coming off a submission loss to Jim Miller at UFC on ESPN 5; The lightweight’s record in his last five fights is a mixed bag as Guida has beaten Erik Koch (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 112), Joe Lauzon (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 120), and B.J. Penn (via unanimous decision at UFC 237). Guida’s losses to Charles Oliveira, Brian Ortega, and Thiago Tavares have knocked him out of the top 15 rankings. His professional record currently stands at 35 wins and 19 losses.
Green is also in need of a win as the lightweight suffered back-to-back losses against Francisco Trinaldo (via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 31) and Drakkar Klose (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 164). The 33-year-old came into the promotion hot and was in the midst of a four-fight winning streak before Edson Barboza put an end to his momentum at UFC Fight Night 57. Since then, Green has only gotten one win inside of the octagon. His professional record currently stands at 24 wins, 10 losses, and 1 no contest.
