A new lightweight fight has been confirmed for UFC 244, as Kevin Lee will take on Gregor Gillespie, according to
MMA Junkie.
Kevin Lee is making his return to the lightweight division after suffering a loss to Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night Rochester. Before his welterweight debut, Lee won three out of his last five fights, besting Edson Barboza, Michael Chiesa, and Francisco Trinaldo. The Michigan native’s professional record stands at 17 wins and 5 losses.
Gillespie on the other hand, walks into the bout undefeated. The lightweight currently has six wins under the UFC banner, with his last victory coming over Yancy Medeiros back in January at Fight Night Brooklyn. Gillespie’s current mixed martial arts record stands at 13 wins and no losses.
UFC 244 takes place on Saturday, November 2 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz headlining. Check out the full advertised card below:
