A big rematch has been confirmed for UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till, as former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio Rua will face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

Coming off a draw against Paul Craig at UFC Fight Night 164, Mauricio Rua is hoping to continue building up momentum after his win over Tyson Pedro at UFC Fight Night 142. The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion has won three out of his last five fights, also beating Corey Anderson (via split decision at UFC 198) and Gian Villante (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 106). Rua’s professional record currently stands at 26 wins, 11 losses, and 1 no contest.

Nogueira is hoping to bounce back after his loss to Ryan Spann at UFC 237. The MMA veteran has lost three out of his last five fights, with his wins coming over Patrick Cummins (via TKO at UFC 198) and Sam Alvey (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 137). In addition to Spann, his losses against Ryan Bader (UFC Fight Night 100) and Mauricio Rua (UFC 190) have kept him out of the top 15 rankings. Nogueira’s professional record currently stands at 23 wins and 9 losses.

UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till takes place on Saturday, July 25 with the two middleweights headlining. The third light heavyweight encounter beat the two veterans is expected to be on the main card.
