A new strawweight bout is set for the UFC Fight Night show on August 15 as Livinha Souza will take on Ashley Yoder.

Despite suffering a devastating loss to Brianna Van Buren at UFC Fight Night 155, Souza still has an impressive record in her last five bouts, beating Ayaka Hamasaki (Invicta FC 22), Janaisa Morandin (Invicta FC 25), Alex Chambers (UFC Fight Night 137), and Sarah Frota (UFC Fight Night 144). Souza is also a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion. The 29-year-old’s professional record currently stands at 13 wins and 2 losses.

Ashley Yoder is hoping to rebound after her loss to Randa Markos at UFC Fight Night 162. The strawweight has a mixed record in her last five fights, with Yoder only beating Amanda Cooper (UFC Fight Night 139) and Syuri Kondo (UFC Fight Night 154). In addition to Markos, her losses against Angela Hill and Mackenzie Dern have knocked her out of the top 15 rankings. Yoder’s professional record currently stands at 7 wins and 5 losses.

The yet to be announced UFC Fight Night card takes place on Saturday, August 15 with a location and main event set to be confirmed very soon.
