A new women’s flyweight bout has been confirmed for the upcoming fight night show on Jan. 23 as Jessica Eye will take on Joanne Calderwood.

Eye is fresh off her loss to Cynthia Calvillo at UFC Vegas 2. Still, the 31-year-old has won four out of her last six fights, notably beating Jessica-Rose Clark (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 132) and Katlyn Chookagian (via split decision at UFC 231). Eye’s professional record currently stands at 15 wins, 8 losses, and 1 no contest.

Calderwood is coming off a submission loss to Jennifer Maia at UFC Vegas 5. Despite the recent loss, Calderwood has won three out of her last five fights, beating Andrea Lee (via split decision at UFC 242), Kalindra Faria (via submission at UFC Fight Night 135), and Ariane Lipski (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 143). Calderwood’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 5 losses.

Thus far, the flyweight bout is the only confirmed match-up for the UFC show. There's no word on the placement of the Eye/Calderwood bout just yet.
