A new welterweight contest has been confirmed for the fight night show on July 15 as Abdul Razak Alhassan will face Mounir Lazzez.
Alhassan is coming in strong with a three-fight winning streak, with the welterweight beating Sabah Homasi (via KO at UFC 218 and UFC 220) and Niko Price (via KO at UFC 228). Despite suffering a loss to Omari Akhmedov at UFC Fight Night 109, the 34-year-old’s record remains impressive as he’s won four out of his last five fights, also dropping Charlie Ward at UFC Fight Night 99. Alhassan’s professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 1 loss.
Lazzez enters the promotion in the midst of a two-fight winning streak, with the welterweight owning victories over Sasha Palatnikov (via TKO at ADW - UAE Warriors 8) and Arber Murati (via TKO at Probellum MMA). Lazzez has also fought in Brave Combat Federation, Phoenix Fighting Championship, and Desert Force. His professional record currently stands at 9 wins and 1 loss.
The recently announced UFC card takes place on Wednesday, July 15 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with no main event announced at this time.
