Another welterweight clash was confirmed for UFC 256 as Dwight Grant will take on Li Jingliang at the upcoming pay-per-view event.
Since making his debut following Dana White’s Contender Series, Grant has managed to score wins over Carlo Pedersoli Jr. (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 145) and Alan Jouban (via split decision at UFC 236). Despite his setbacks against Zak Ottow and Daniel Rodriguez, the welterweight has a solid record of 10 wins and 3 losses.
Li Jingliang’s three-fight winning streak was snapped by Neil Magny at UFC 248 in March. Despite the devastating loss, the welterweight does own four impressive victories within his last six fights and three of those wins came by TKO. Overall, Jingliang’s professional record stands at 17 wins and 6 losses.
UFC 256 airs live exclusively on ESPN+ pay-per-view, with Amanda Nunes vs. Megan Anderson for the UFC Women’s Featherweight Championship as one of the main attractions of the show. Thus far, the position of the welterweight bout is currently unknown.
