A new women’s bantamweight match-up has been confirmed for the UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana event as Ketlen Vieira will take on Yana Kunitskaya.

Vieira’s momentum was halted when she was beat by Irene Aldana at UFC 245. Before the devastating loss, the bantamweight was on a strong ten-fight winning streak that saw Vieira beat Ashlee Evans-Smith (via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 24), Sara McMann (via submission at UFC 215), and Cat Zingano (via split decision at UFC 222). Her professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 1 loss.

Kunitskaya is also looking to rebound after failing to drop Aspen Ladd at UFC on ESPN 7. The bantamweight has only gotten two wins in the promotion thus far, beating over Lina Lansberg (via unanimous decision at UFC 229) and Marion Reneau (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 146). Kunitskaya’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest.

UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana takes place on Saturday, August 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with the two bantamweights headlining.  The placement of the Vieira/Kunitskaya bout is currently unknown.
