A new bantamweight bout is in the works for the UFC event on June 27th as Aspen Ladd is expected to take on Sara McMann, according to a recent report from MMA Junkie.

Despite suffering a TKO loss to Germaine de Randamie at UFC Fight Night 155, Ladd has been on a tear throughout the women’s bantamweight division. Since her debut in 2017, the 25-year-old has defeated Lina Länsberg (UFC Fight Night 118), Tonya Evinger (UFC 229), Sijara Eubanks (UFC Fight Night 152), and Yana Kunitskaya (UFC on ESPN 7) by TKO. Ladd’s professional record currently stands at 9 wins and 1 loss.

McMann is coming into the fight with some momentum as the bantamweight defeated Lina Länsberg at UFC Fight Night 166. The MMA veteran has won three out of her last five fights, also beating Alexis Davis (via submission at The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions Finale) and Gina Mazany (via submission at UFC Fight Night 105). McMann’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins and 5 losses.

Should the women’s bantamweight fight be finalized then the line-up for the June 27th show will have a total of three fights thus far. Check it out below:
