A women’s bantamweight match-up is confirmed for the upcoming UFC Fight Night card on September 26 as Ketlen Vieira will face Marion Reneau. Originally, the match-up was set to take place in May.

Vieira’s momentum was snapped when she was dropped by Irene Aldana via knockout at UFC 245. Before the crushing loss, the bantamweight was on a strong ten-fight winning streak that saw Vieira beat Ashlee Evans-Smith (via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 24), Sara McMann (via submission at UFC 215), and Cat Zingano (via split decision at UFC 222). Her professional record currently stands at 10 wins and 1 loss.

Reneau is in need of a win as the bantamweight is currently in the midst of a three-fight losing streak. Reneau has only managed to win two out of her last five fights, beating Talita Bernardo (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 115) and Sara McMann (via submission at UFC on Fox 28). Reneau’s professional record currently stands at 9 wins, 6 losses, and 1 no contest.

The yet to be announced UFC Fight Night card is set for Saturday, September 26 from a location and main event set to be confirmed very soon. The placement of the women’s bantamweight fight is currently unknown.
