A bantamweight fight has been pulled off the UFC 247 card.
Originally, Sean O’Malley and Jose Quinonez were set to fight on the pay-per-view event; however, the match-up has been moved to UFC 248 instead. As of this writing, there’s no word on why the bout was pulled from UFC 247.
O’Malley makes his return to the promotion after being away from the octagon for nearly two years. The bantamweight fighter remains undefeated, with his last win being against Andre Soukhamthath in March 2018. The Tuesday Night Contender's overall professional record stands at 10 wins and no losses.
The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America finalist hopes to continue building up momentum after getting a unanimous victory over Carlos Huachin at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. Thus far, Quinonez has had a solid career within the promotion where he’s only lost two out of his seven fights. Quinonez’s professional record stands at 8 wins and 3 losses.
UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time.
