Looks like trouble is ahead for Carls John de Tomas.

De Tomas failed an in-competition test following his weigh-in and is facing sanctions from both USADA and the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), pending an adjudication process, the UFC announced Friday. The release stated that de Tomas is no longer under UFC contract.

De Tomas’s UFC career wasn’t a good one, as the Philippines native, lost by second-round submission to Alex Perez at UFC Fight Night 123 on Dec. 9 in Fresno, Calif. He also lost his debut bout back in June against Naoki Inoue. De Tomas, 21, won the first seven fights of his career before entering UFC, all in his home country of the Philippines.
