Alen Amedovski will not longer compete on the upcoming UFC Fight Night Raleigh card; however, a replacement has been found for Dequan Townsend, who will now fight Bevon Lewis at the event.
Since gaining entry into the UFC thanks to Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender series, the middleweight has been on a losing streak thus far. He lost to Darren Stewart at UFC 238 and Uriah Hall at UFC 232. Prior to his stint with the promotion, Lewis entered the company with a strong six-fight winning streak. Lewis’ professional record stands at 6 wins and 2 losses.
Townsend is also looking to secure his first win under the UFC banner, as the fighter failed to win his bout against Dalcha Lungiambula at UFC Fight Night Minneapolis. Despite being 0-1 in the UFC, the middleweight has an impressive record stemming from his time with Total Warrior Combat. Townsend’s professional record stands at 19 wins and 8 losses.
UFC Fight Night Raleigh takes place on Saturday, January 25 from the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina with Curtis Blaydes and Junior Dos Santos headlining.
