In a surprising move, Sergio Pettis has decided to not re-sign with the UFC.

In light of the flyweight deciding to become a free agent, Pettis has been removed from his scheduled bout against Kai Kara France at UFC 245. However, Brandon Moreno will step in to face France instead.

Moreno is coming off a split draw against Askar Askarov at UFC Fight Night Mexico City. The Mexico native has won two out of his last five fights, besting Dustin Ortiz back at UFC Nashville and Maikel Pérez at the LFA 69 event during his brief stint outside of the company. Moreno’s current record stands at 15 wins, 5 losses, and 1 no contest.

UFC 245 takes place on Saturday, December 14 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington headlining. Check the advertised line-up below:
