The main event for the UFC Fight Night card on July 15 has been made official as Calvin Kattar will take on Dan Ige.
Kattar is coming off a strong win over Jeremy Stephens at UFC 249. The featherweight has managed to win three out of his last five fights, also beating Ricardo Lamas (via KO at UFC 238) and Chris Fishgold (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 138). His losses against Renato Moicano (via unanimous decision at UFC 223) and Zabit Magomedsharipov (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 163) have taken him out of the top 5 in the division rankings. Kattar’s professional record currently stands at 21 wins and 4 losses.
Ige is in the midst of a six-fight winning streak, with his recent win coming over Edson Barboza at UFC on ESPN 8. His most impressive victories have come over Mike Santiago (via TKO at UFC 225) and Danny Henry (via submission at UFC Fight Night 147). Ige has had only one setback in his UFC career thus far, which is against Julio Arce at UFC 220. The featherweight’s professional record currently stands at 14 wins and 2 losses.
