Carla Esparza vs. Marina Rodriguez has been rescheduled for UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till. The bout was originally set for UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige; however, one of Rodriguez’s cornermen tested positive for the coronavirus thus pulling the bout from the card.
Esparza is currently in the midst of a three-fight winning streak as the strawweight owns victories over Virna Jandiroba (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 150), Alexa Grasso (via majority decision at UFC Fight Night 159) and Michelle Waterson (via split decision at UFC 249). The 32-year-old hasn't been beaten since her bout against Tatiana Suarez at UFC 228 on September 8, 2018. Esparza’s professional record currently stands at 16 wins and 6 losses.
Rodriguez has seen big success through her time in the division, with her latest wins coming over Jessica Aguilar (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 2) and Tecia Torres (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 156). Rodriguez’s professional record currently stands at 12 wins, 0 losses, and 2 no contests.
