Can Charles Oliveira bounce back from his UFC 317 loss?

The former UFC Lightweight Champion is coming back to the octagon quickly as Oliveira just fought Ilia Topuria back in June. The 35-year-old has a mixed record in his last six fights as he’s won three of them against Justin Gaethje (by submission at UFC 274), Beneil Dariush (by TKO at UFC 289), and Michael Chandler (by unanimous decision at UFC 309). Oliveira is ranked at number four in the lightweight division. His professional record stands at 35 wins and 11 losses.

His opponent is a replacement for Rafael Fiziev. Mateusz Gamrot is hoping to continue building momentum following his unanimous decision win over Ľudovít Klein back in May. Gamrot’s record in his last six fights is much better as only suffered two losses thanks to Beneil Dariush and Dan Hooker. Gamrot is currently ranked at number four in the lightweight division. His professional record stands at 25 wins and 3 losses.

The co-main event features the former UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo looking to bounce back from his two fight skid. Before his losses to Cory Sandhagen and Petr Yan, Figueiredo was on a nice three-fight winning streak, beating Rob Font, Cody Garbrandt, and Marlon Vera. Currently, he’s ranked at number six in the bantamweight division. His professional record currently stands at 24 wins, 5 losses, and 1 draw.

This is Montel Jackson’s biggest fight to date. The UFC star is coming in hot thanks to his six-fight winning streak, with three of those wins coming via TKO. Jackson is ranked at number fifteen within the division rankings. His professional record currently stands at 15 wins and 2 losses.
