Before Calvin Kattar headlines this Wednesday’s fight night event against Dan Ige, revisit his highlight reel finish against Jeremy Stephens at UFC 249.

Prior to his fight against Stephens, Kattar failed to beat featherweight Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC Moscow. Still, the 32-year-old had a solid record in his last five fights with Kattar dropping Shane Burgos (via TKO at UFC 220), Chris Fishgold (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 138), and Ricardo Lamas (via KO at UFC 238). Overall, Kattar’s professional record was 20 wins and 4 losses.

Stephens entered the fight in need of a win, as the featherweight was in the midst of a three-fight losing streak. The Iowa native had lost his last three bouts against Jose Aldo (via TKO at UFC on Fox 30), Yair Rodriguez (via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 6), and Zabit Magomedsharipov (via unanimous decision at UFC 235). Going in, Stephens professional record stood at 28 wins, 17 losses, and 1 no contest.

Not surprisingly, both men brought their A-game in the featherweight bout; however, Kattar managed to nail a devastating elbow that secured the win for the veteran. Check out the thrilling fight below:
