Recently, UFC uploaded the debut of Nick Diaz, so it was only a matter of time before his brother Nate Diaz gets the spotlight on the latest revisit of UFC debuts.
One of the most exciting and controversial fighters to step inside of the octagon, Diaz has continuously shown why he’s one of the top fighters within the UFC. While the 35-year-old has never won a belt within the promotion, Diaz became the first man in the UFC to beat former two-division champion Conor McGregor in an unforgettable contest.
However, Diaz also put on electric fights against Michael Johnson (UFC on Fox 17), Donald Cerrone (UFC 141), Clay Guida (UFC 94), and Joe Stevenson (The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom Finale). Before the UFC fighter got a chance to clash against the big names in the promotion, Diaz made his way into the UFC thanks to the Ultimate Fighter competition.
Diaz went through Rob Emerson, Corey Hill, and Gray Maynard before finally advancing into the finals against Manvel Gamburyan. On June 23, 2007, Diaz would secure a six-figure contract with the promotion by forcing the lightweight to tap out in the second round.
