Before their rubber match on Saturday, August 15, relive the night that Stipe Miocic reclaimed the UFC Heavyweight title from Daniel Cormier at UFC 241.

To the surprise of many, Daniel Cormier beat Stipe Miocic with a first-round TKO at UFC 226. This extended Cormier’s six-fight winning streak that saw him beat top contenders Alexander Gustafsson (via split decision at UFC 192) and Anderson Silva (via unanimous decision at UFC 200). Cormier also defended the heavyweight belt against Derrick Lewis at UFC 230. He had a record of 22 wins and 1 loss going into his fight against Miocic.

Cormier’s win snapped a strong six-fight winning streak that saw Miocic successfully defend the title against Alistair Overeem (via KO at UFC 203), Junior dos Santos (via TKO at UFC 211), and Francis Ngannou (via unanimous decision at UFC 220). Overall, Miocic came into the bout with a record of 18 wins and 3 losses.

Going in, the highly anticipated rematch saw a thrilling clash until Miocic caught Cormier late in the fourth round and finished off the then heavyweight champ with punches resulting in a TKO. Check out the championship fight below:
