UFC 254 is almost here.
We’re less than a week away from one of the biggest championship matches in 2020 as UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje will fight Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed 155-pound belt. In anticipation for the big lightweight match-up, Dana White has released a cold open that’s been narrated by Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Drive):
Nurmagomedov is making his third title defense here with the 32-year-old successfully beating Conor McGregor (via submission at UFC 229) and Dustin Poirier (via submission at UFC 242). Gaethje is in the midst of a four-fight winning streak, with the most notable wins being over Donald Cerrone (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 158), and Tony Ferguson (via TKO at UFC 249).
The upcoming pay-per-view will also feature a contender fight between former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier. Alexander Volkov vs. Walt Harris is also set for the big show as well. Should Gaethje or Nurmagomedov pull out of the main event then former Bellator Lightweight World Champion Michael Chandler will step in to fight either man on Oct. 24.
