UFC 249 is less than two weeks away!
Despite the trials and tribulations that the respective pay-per-view has gone through due to the coronavirus, this show could up end being one of the best events in 2020. If somehow you don’t know by now, two big championship bouts are set to co-main event the pay-per-view.
For the bantamweight title, Henry Cejudo will defend his respective championship against one of the best 135-pound fighters in the UFC, Dominick Cruz. The former Bantamweight champ hasn’t stepped into the octagon for over three years, with his last bout ending in defeat thanks to Cody Garbrandt.
Despite that devastating loss, Cruz has only lost one other fight within his ten-plus year career, which was against Urijah Faber back in 2007. In the second championship match that will determine the next challenger for the UFC Lightweight title, Tony Ferguson will put his Interim belt on the line against Jusitn Gaethje.
Also, former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis will make his return to take on Donald Cerrone. Francis Ngannou, Jairzinho Rozenstruik, Calvin Kattar, Jeremy Stephens, Aleksei Oleinik, Fabricio Werdum, Carla Esparza, and Michelle Waterson are also scheduled to fight on the show.
