Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz III is now official.
The two MMA legends are set to square off on November 24 at The Forum in Inglewood, California, under Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions.
Liddell revealed the news Wednesday in an interview on Larry King Now. MMA Fighting previously reported that Golden Boy Promotions had filed an application with the California State Athletic Commission for an event to be held Nov. 24 at The Forum in Inglewood with Liddell and Ortiz as the main attraction, however the fight had yet to be made official.
Liddell returns after retiring from MMA back in 2010. He’s defeated Ortiz twice, first in a non-title bout back in 2004 and again for his then light heavyweight title in 2006. The Iceman’s record currently stands at 21-8. Ortiz is also coming off an retirement from 2017 after a win over Chael Sonnen in Bellator MMA. The Huntington Beach Bad Boy goes into the fight 19-12-1.
Liddell’s full interview with King will air Sept. 3 at 11 a.m. PT on Hulu and Ora TV.
