A heavyweight bout has been added to the UFC Fight Night show on July 11 as Shamil Abdurakhimov faces Ciryl Gane.
Despite suffering a loss to Curtis Blaydes at UFC 242, Abdurakhimov has a nice record in his last four fights by getting consecutive wins over Chase Sherman (via KO at UFC Fight Night 122), Andrei Arlovski (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 136), and Marcin Tybura (via TKO at UFC Fight Night 149). Abdurakhimov’s professional record currently stands at 20 wins and 5 losses.
Since making his UFC debut in 2019, Gane has racked up wins over Raphael Pessoa (via submission at UFC Fight Night 156), Don'Tale Mayes (via submission at UFC Fight Night 162), and Tanner Boser (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 165). Prior to signing with the company, Gane competed in TKO Major League MMA. His professional record currently stands at 6 wins and no losses.
The yet to be announced UFC Fight Night show takes place on Saturday, July 11 with a location and main event set to be confirmed very soon.
