A new strawweight bout has been set for a fight night card on September 26 as Claudia Gadelha will take on Yan Xiaonan at the event.

Gadelha bounced back from her loss against Nina Ansaroff with a pair of wins over Angela Hill (via split decision at UFC on ESPN 8) and Randa Markos (via unanimous decision at UFC 239). In addition to her victory over Carla Esparza at UFC 225, the strawweight competitor has managed to stay in the top ten of the division rankings. Gadelha’s professional record currently stands at 18 wins and 4 losses.

Since joining the UFC in 2017, Xiaonan has yet to lose a fight within the promotion; Her latest wins come over Angela Hill (via unanimous decision at UFC 238) and Karolina Kowalkiewicz (via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 168). In total, the strawweight has won five fights in her UFC career thus far and Xiaonan hasn’t lost a bout in ten years. Her professional record currently stands at 12 wins, 1 loss, and 1 no contest.

The yet to be announced UFC card is set for Saturday, September 26 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. The placement of the strawweight fight is currently unknown.
