Claudia Gadelha vs. Cynthia Calvillo is no more.

The women’s strawweight fight has been scrapped from UFC Fight Night DC due to Gadelha being forced to pull out of the fight because of injury. On her Instagram stories, Gadelha cited that her ankle hasn’t been able to heal like she hoped it would, thus she’s unable to fight Calvillo on Dec. 7.

However, Calvillo is still set for the fight night event, as the strawweight will now face Marina Rodriguez.

Calvillo is coming into the bout with a nice two-fight winning streak, as the 32-year-old has defeated Cortney Casey and Poliana Botelho. The California native has only lost one fight in her young career thus far, which was against Carla Esparza at UFC 219. Calvillo’s record currently stands at 8 wins and 1 loss.

Rodriguez is coming into the fight with a strong streak of her own, as the strawweight is currently on a 12-fight winning streak. Her last win was against Tecia Torres back at UFC Fight Night Uruguay in August. Rodriguez’s current record stands at 12 wins and 1 no contest.
