During UFC 238, the promotion revealed its latest fight that will join the Hall of Fame on July 5th.

That bout is Diego Sanchez vs. Clay Guida at Ultimate Fighter 9 from June 20, 2009, which is considered one of the greatest lightweight battles in the promotion. The match-up was a non-stop flurry of punches and action, with Sanchez getting the victory over Guida via split decision.

Sanchez-Guida becomes the fifth fight to enter the UFC Hall of Fame, joining Forrest Griffin vs. Stephan Bonnar (The Ultimate Fighter 1 Finale), Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg 2 (UFC 52), Mark Coleman vs. Pete Williams (UFC 17), and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Dan Henderson 1 (UFC 139).

The 2019 UFC Hall of Fame ceremony takes place on July 5 in Las Vegas. Also being inducted into the Modern Wing this year are former UFC champions Michael Bisping, Rich Franklin, and Rashad Evans.
